Eliah Levy is a virtuoso-level guitar and Chapman Stick player with remarkably advanced technique, creativity and soulfulness. Eliah’s blazing guitar chops have been compared to Al Dimeola, Jimi Hendrix, John McLaughlin and Carlos Santana – by music industry professionals and astonished listeners alike.
Eliah is appearing on an upcoming all-star compilation album featuring Willie Nelson, with Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, Robert Plant and Jeff Beck all slated to be involved as well. This exciting project is the work of seasoned, award-winning producer and musician Danny Hutton from Three Dog Night. Eliah is a key player in David Wilcock’s groundbreaking trance/psychedelic dance group Invisible Light, which will soon perform at “conscious gatherings” in northern and southern California – and will release both studio and live albums.
Eliah has recorded and gigged with John Oates, performed on a remix of "Love Don't Love Me Back" by Eric Burnett, and worked on guitar tracks with Miami producer Lewis Martinee – who developed projects with Debbie Gibson and Orson Whitfield. Eliah dazzled audiences in several extremely successful Colorado bands, including The Moondogs and King Daffodils – and opened for Jimmy Cliff, Blues Traveler, Sheryl Crow, Kinsey Report, Derek Trucks, Leon Russell, Robben Ford and Little Feat.
Eliah is also a wizard of the Chapman Stick – a remarkable ten-stringed musical instrument in which basslines are played with the left hand, while the right hand generates intricate melodies and harmonies. |

Peter Gabriel showcased the Chapman Stick on many of his classic albums thanks to the majestic work of Tony Levin, who has also recorded with Yes, Pink Floyd and King Crimson – such as their iconic 1981 album Discipline – and more recently Liquid Tension Experiment, featuring many of the original musicians from the progressive-rock group Dream Theater. Weather Report, the renowned jazz fusion band, also features the multi-talented Alphonso Johnson on the Stick.
Eliah has pioneered groundbreaking techniques on the Stick that even its inventor thought were impossible – such as funk slapping and popping styles – and has crafted a series of groundbreaking CDs that showcase his impressive, highly inspirational talents. Over 50,000 CDs have already been sold. Eliah performed with his Stick at the Ferrara Buskers Festival, the Colorado Mountain Fair and the Telluride Blues Festival. International television programs in England and Spain have excitedly featured Eliah’s jaw-dropping Stick talents.
Eliah was born in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury neighborhood on April 5, 1971. His father Terry was already a seasoned drummer by then, and Eliah spent his entire childhood in the epicenter of weekly jam sessions. Eliah began taking regular guitar lessons and jamming with his dad's band at age 11, and was lucky enough to be admitted to an arts-focused private high school where he could drill in on advanced music theory and instrumental technique. By age 16, Eliah decided to pursue music full time – and within the next four years, he established a professional career as the lead guitarist in touring bands. Eliah discovered the Chapman Stick and began doing solo gigs in later years, and has established a reputation as an impeccably polished and professional performer.
